Ayurveda teaches that wellness is not a destination — it is a relationship. With the body, with the seasons, with the community around us.
East Bay Ayurveda has been bringing Ayurvedic wellness care and seasonal health education into community spaces and organizations since 2016. This work grows from the same root as the clinical practice, the belief that ancient seasonal wisdom is practical, accessible, and belongs to everyone.
No prior knowledge of Ayurveda required. Every being is welcome here.
THE SEASONAL HEALTH SERIES
Seasonal Care Through Ayurveda
Over a decade in development, the Seasonal Health Series is a three-part experiential curriculum rooted in Ayurvedic principles of seasonal living. Each session is a three-hour immersive experience, hands-on, sensory, and grounded in practical tools people can bring home the same day.
This is not a lecture. It is an experience.
Participants taste, smell, and feel the season. They learn to recognize how their own body moves through seasonal change. They reflect on what is already present and what wants to shift. They leave with a personal health intention and practices that fit their life, their kitchen, and their cultural traditions.
Every session is offered with choice and invitation, never a prescription. Participants are always the authority on their own body and experience.
The three seasons:
Vata Season — Fall & Winter
The season of wind, movement, and transition. We explore grounding practices, warming nourishment, and how to tend to the nervous system when the world asks us to slow down. We look at what helps the body and mind feel rooted when everything around us is changing.
Pitta Season — Summer
The season of fire, intensity, and heat. We explore cooling practices, anti-inflammatory nourishment, and how to stay clear, nourished, and present when the sun is at its strongest. We look at what helps us move through high-energy seasons without burning out.
Kapha Season — Spring
The season of earth, renewal, and awakening. We explore energizing practices, lightening nourishment, and how to move through the heaviness of early spring with clarity, motivation, and ease.
The Seasonal Health Series has been offered at DhyanYoga Center, Sol Root Farm in Sunol, Adeline Yoga Studio in Berkeley, and through East Bay Ayurveda since 2016.
Community and Organizational Wellness
Cecilia comes to organizational wellness work as a collaborative partner, not an outside expert. She believes every community carries its own wisdom about what it means to be well, and that her role is to support organizations in naming, honoring, and building from what is already alive in their community. Ayurveda offers one framework. The community always leads.
Current organizational work includes individual Ayurvedic consultations and hands-on therapy care for staff at the Center for Independent Living in Berkeley, supporting mental health, resilience, and long-term vitality as part of their staff wellness program.
The Seasonal Health Series and individual wellness care are available for nonprofits, community centers, and mission-driven organizations ready to invest in the well-being of their people.
What community wellness care can include:
Individual Ayurvedic consultations and hands-on therapy for staff
Seasonal Health Series — immersive three-hour experiential sessions
Collaborative programming with chefs, movement practitioners, and other wellness providers
Curriculum development and program consulting
Ongoing seasonal programming across the year
All programming is trauma-informed, culturally humble, and adapted to meet each community where they are.
From Vision to Care
Every organization I collaborate with begins in the same place: vision.
Not what's broken. Not what's urgent. What do you want to create, and what genuinely excites you about it?
From there, we work together to understand what that vision actually requires. What foundation needs to exist before anything else can be built? What's ready to move now, and what comes later? What does sustainable look like for your team, your community, your resources?
This approach is rooted in Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest systems of whole-person health, which teaches that lasting change grows from alignment, not force. When individuals and organizations build from what resonates rather than what obligation demands, the results are more sustainable, more joyful, and more alive.
No prior knowledge of Ayurveda required. A genuine commitment to the community you serve and the vision you're ready to build.
Colloboration
Some of the most meaningful work happens when practitioners come together. The Seasonal Health Series is designed to expand, welcoming chefs, farmers, movement teachers, herbalists, and other practitioners into the experience when the settings allow.
If you are building a wellness program, a community health initiative, or a seasonal education series, you are welcome to reach out.
Exploration of Possibilities
If you are an organization, educator, or community space interested in bringing Ayurvedic wellness care or seasonal health programming to your community, reach out. Every collaboration begins with a conversation.
